1. Introduction

WordSalvo (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

2. Data We Collect

Account Data

When you create an account we store your display name, email address (if provided), profile photo URL, and a unique friend code. If you sign in with Google, Apple, or Facebook we receive only the identifiers those services share (name, email, photo URL).

Gameplay Data

We store your game moves, scores, statistics, ratings, season standings, and achievement progress so you can track your history and compete on leaderboards.

Device Data

We collect a Firebase Cloud Messaging token to deliver push notifications. We do not collect device identifiers for advertising.

Chat Messages

In-game chat messages are stored in our database and may be reviewed for moderation purposes.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Provide and improve the game experience
• Match you with opponents and maintain leaderboards
• Send game notifications (your turn, friend requests, etc.)
• Enforce our Terms of Service and moderate content

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Firebase / Google Cloud — hosting, authentication, database, notifications
• Law enforcement — when required by law

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes your profile, statistics, and game history.

6. Children’s Privacy

WordSalvo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at support@wordsalvo.com.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated in-app.
